What is the difference between career counselling and DMIT analysis?
Career counselling uses structured conversation and psychometric tools to map your current strengths, interests, and goals into next steps. DMIT (Dermatoglyphics Multiple Intelligence Test) looks at inborn learning patterns through fingerprint analysis, which is most useful for younger students still discovering how they learn best. Many families use both at different stages.
Are your psychometric tests scientifically validated?
Yes. We use established, validated assessment instruments administered and interpreted by trained counsellors — not generic online quizzes. Every report is discussed in a one-on-one session, not just emailed as a PDF.
Do you recommend specific colleges or institutions?
No. Chennai Academy carries no affiliation with any college, university, or coaching institute. Our recommendations are based solely on what fits the student, not on referral arrangements.

How much does a session cost after the free discovery call?
The first discovery session is always free. Pricing after that depends on which track you choose — career counselling, psychometric testing, or DMIT — and how many sessions your roadmap needs. Your counsellor will share exact pricing before you commit to anything.
Do you offer online sessions, or only in-person at your Chennai centre?
Both. We run in-person sessions at our Chennai centre and online sessions over video call for students and professionals anywhere else. Assessments like DMIT and psychometric testing work equally well in either format.

Chennai Academy is an initiative by Merit Teacher, founded and led by Mrs. Priyanka Swain, an educator, counsellor, and psychology professional with two decades of experience in career guidance and psychometric assessment.
